L.R.H. sits on nearly two acres. The Home’s wrap around side and rear yards are gated from the street by white picket fences and privets and offer an incredible array of mature multi colored hydrangea, clematis, climbing rose and natural grasses planted and cultivated over years. There are Adirondack chairs for Sitting & lounging around an open fire pit and tables with sun-umbrellas and a bicycle rack on the rear and west side yards. Croquet, bocce and bad mitten have been provided for your pleasure.
On the east side of the house off the kitchen is a small cedar deck leading to a brick patio covered with a cedar pergola with a new full size Webber grill equipped with charcoal, a baby-Q beach Weber and a brick beehive fireplace perfect for lobster bakes. Extra-large lobster pot with outdoor gas burner provided. Also on the east side of the house is off street parking for up to three to four cars as well as unlimited on street parking in front of the house which is always available. From The rear second floor there is an exit to a small deck with stairs down to the rear yard and garden which is a favorite place to catch the sunset. There is a cottage on the rear of the property with its own side yard and rear deck. The cottage is normally not for rent and used by the owners and their three year old daughter randomly during summer and fall. When La Ruche House is rented and the owners are on island it is always their intention to do the “utmost” to respect the renters’ privacy.
