Welcome to La Ruche House
This large two story Greek Revival Ship captains home was originally
built in 1704 by one of Nantucket’s founding whaling families. It is
located a short 10 minute walk up Orange Street from Town’s Main Street
where you will find world renowned restaurants and shopping. Jump on a bike or
the island shuttle which stops just steps across the street from the
house and go to Sconset or Madaket for lunch or any of the islands
incredible beaches. Formally the award winning “La Ruche Inn” voted “Best
Hotel on Nantucket” Boston Magazine Aug. 05’ La Ruche was converted back to a private
home by its current owners this year. It has eight bedrooms, seven full baths and sleeps up to 19.
